Springtime in Ohio can mean unpredictable weather — snowstorms and summer-like temperatures in the same week are not uncommon. We’re sharing some ways you can keep your home comfortable while keeping your electric bill under control.

Monitor Your Energy Usage

Log in to your Energy Dashboard and if you haven’t yet, take five minutes to complete the Home Energy Profile. This short survey compiles important information about your home to help determine what’s using the most energy. After you complete your profile, check out your dashboard landing page for a quick glance at how your current bill compares to previous ones. You’ll also get an explanation of what may have caused changes in your energy use (and what you can do about it).

Enroll in our AMP (Average Monthly Payment) Plan*

AMP evens out payments throughout the year to balance seasonal spikes in usage. Bills adjust on a 12-month rolling average and change only slightly each month, making payments more predictable.

Check Out the Bill Assistance Tool

Our bill assistance tool is a great place to find information about what programs are right for you and your family. Log into your account at AEPOhio.com/BillHelp to take an easy, two-minute survey about your household and see your options.

See if You’re Eligible for HELP

AEP Ohio’s High Efficiency for Low-income Program (HELP) may be able to help eligible customers save money while improving their home’s efficiency and comfort. Through HELP, qualifying residential customers can receive low- or no-cost energy-efficient products and services, including upgrades to HVAC equipment, water heaters, lighting, home weatherization and more.
